Campaign Philosophy
- The Orrville Area United Way strongly opposes any type of coercion
or pressure used to solicit donations.
- Donating to any charitable organization is a personal decision.
An individual should have the opportunity to learn how United Way
helps the community make an informed decision about whether or not
to contribute.
- Fund raising success depends upon how much potential donors know
and understand the purpose and impact of United Way. Orrville Area
United Way emphasizes education through its campaign.
- Just as our area businesses provide high quality products and services,
United Way believes in quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of
its service. If an individual understands the work of United Way,
he or she will be motivated to donate.
- We realize that not everyone is in a position to donate. From information
gained through the United Way campaign, an individual may be able
to learn about a service which may be of use to a family member,
friend, or co-worker.
