Our Mission

Orrville Area United Way engages the caring power of our community to foster a thriving society.

We bring together people from schools, nonprofits, businesses, local government, churches, and the community. We work extensively to identify the most pressing needs in our Dalton, Marshallville, and Orrville area in order to effectively and responsibly address them. We focus grant funding in our four impact areas of Nurturing Children & Youth, Developing Life Skills, Helping in Hard Times, and Promoting Health & Wellness. Additionally, we support 7 Percy Programs. These are direct service programs administered in our area to fill the gaps where services are not met by another non-profit.

The United Way Building Blocks

United Way is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life - a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health.
