Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

Event is Invite Only

Wednesday, April 27th 6:00pm-8:00pm

The Volunteer Appreciation Dinner will take place at the University of Akron Wayne College Student Life Building. This is a non-fundraising event, by invite only, to honor and celebrate our volunteers. During this event our Executive Director, Dawn Cazzolli and Board President, Carrie Foy will speak followed by the presentation of two imperative awards. We appreciate all of our Changemakers, as they have United together to create another successful campaign year.

Margarita Mondays

May 2nd, 19th, 16th & 30th 11:30am-1:30pm

“Margarita Mondays in May” (non-alcoholic of course!) here at the Orrville Area United Way office, from 11:30am to 1:30pm every Monday in May (except Memorial Day, May 30th, due to our office being closed).  We invite you to stop in to celebrate the start of each week with a refreshing slushie & chips and salsa, tour our new-ish office (if you haven’t already), and connect with our OAUW Community!

Orrville StoryWalk®

Saturday, May 14th 10:00am-12:00pm

Join us at the Orrville StoryWalk® where we will sponsor the book of the Month "The Little Engine that Could" by Watty Piper. A free craft will be provided, and we will have information on how to sign up for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Volunteers, join us to prepare for the 2023 Campaign! We will review our Campaign Toolkit and ways we can assist you with the management of your Campaign.

4th of July Pre-Parade Popsicle Palooza for the Community!

Come visit us at our new location at 135 North Main Street before the parade begins. Volunteers will be giving away popsicles, and providing some entertainment to the crowd!

The Campaign 2023 Kickoff will occur as we begin to fundraise for next year's campaign. We will distribute materials to our OAUW volunteers who will contact individuals and businesses in our area for donations.

Leaders in Giving Breakfast

Wednesday, September 7th 8:00am-10:00am

During this breakfast, we will show our appreciation to these grateful donors. What is a "Leader in Giving," and how can you become one? Leaders in Giving support life-changing programs for children, adults, and seniors in our community. The energy, enthusiasm, and leadership of these generous individuals inspire others and provides hope and opportunities to individuals in need in our community.

Come to the Dalton Football Stadium to see our volunteers, meet "Percy the Penguin," and learn about our Percy Programs. Did you know that donations to the Orrville Area United Way are used to meet the needs of your community?

Orrville's Home for the Holiday's

Friday, November 25th 5:00pm-8:00pm

Kick off the holiday season and spend an evening in Downtown Orrville for the Home for the Holiday's Event. This annual fun-filled evening will be held on Friday, November 25th. Spend an evening with your family in beautiful Downtown Orrville enjoying the sights and sounds of the season. Be sure to stop by the Orrville Area United Way office to visit with "Percy the Penguin."

Dalton Holiday Festival

December 3rd-4th

The Dalton Holiday Festival provides the Christmas Spirit to generations of visitors - young and old alike. The festival is always the first weekend in December and comprises various events for all age groups. Featuring the "Coolest Parade in Ohio," they showcase their pageant, a craft show, entertainment, and the finest homemade baked goods. The OAUW will be at this event sharing information about how our non-profit organization impacts the people in the Dalton, Marshallville, and Orrville area.
